We just talked with Derek and Karen. They are in Atlanta and boarding the flight for Eastern Europe as I write. We saw them this morning before they left and everyone seemed to be in great spirits about the upcoming adventure, but they were also very nervous about being far away from their children for such a long time.
Pray for their nerves in the flight, pray for a fun and enjoyable week for their children here in the states, and pray that God would grant them a fun and memorable time together.
I am sure we will hear back from them soon - though I think the flight is at least 11 hours or so. Thanks for your prayers this whole week. We are asking that God grant them open doors and smiling faces at each turn they make.
